To begin preheat your oven. It should be set to 500 degrees Fahrenheit for no longer than 15 minutes before you are ready to bake.

If the potato is slightly hard to the touch leave them and allow them to bake completely for another 10- 15 minutes. The Potatoes should not take longer than an hour to be baked, be careful not to over-do the potatoes.

Once your potatoes are done you can take them from the oven and serve them at once. This allows any toppings like cheese to melt on top of the freshly baked potato. Cut the individual potatoes in half and serve in or without the foil.
